Great News for Early Years

We are thrilled to announce that Miss Amy Leach has been appointed the role of Early Years Leader in our school. She will lead the staff of Nursery and Reception in making Early Years a wonderful place for children and parents. She will join the other established phase leaders, Miss Horn who leads Years 1 and 2 and Mrs Freeman who leads Years 3 and 4. Please feel free to contact any of the phase leaders if you have a concern, question or to tell them good news about your child.

Miss Coulthard, who joined us in September also gave us good news this week. After falling in love with her wonderful Reception class, she can’t bear to leave them at Christmas. She has put her plans to travel the world on hold and will be staying with us in Early Years.

What a good week it was!

PTFA Ladies Night

On Thursday 23rd October, the ladies of the PTFA will be holding a ladies night which will include pamper activities, fabulous prizes and maybe even a little drop of grape juice… Ladies over the age of 18 are invited, the event is open to friends and family as well as our parents. Come along and join in the fun from 6.30 until 8.30pm

Year 3 Bake Sale

This month the bake sale will be held on a Thursday due to the training day next Friday. Year 3 should bake (or buy) their goodies ready for Thursday morning. Our PTFA will be selling the cakes and treats at 3.15 in the yard as usual.

School Photographs

The school photographer will be in school on Wednesday 22nd. Every child in school will have his/her photograph taken individually unless you see Mrs. Hardy or Mrs. Marshall in the school office. You will receive a proof photograph on the day along with an order sheet giving you pack options and prices. You will have until the 7h November to return any orders with the correct money in the sealed envelope. Your photographs will arrive before the children break up for the Christmas holidays. We regret school cannot accept any orders after this deadline, although you can order direct if you wish. If you wish to have a family photograph taken with children or family not in this school please call at the office to make an appointment. The photographer will be here from 8.15 a.m. If you have more than one child in school and you wish for them to be photographed together please call into the school office where a note will be made and the photographs will be taken over the course of the day. As always having a photograph taken does not mean you have to buy.

Books for Sale

After the incredible visit from author Jon Scieszka we still have a small number of books available to buy from the office. If you wish to purchase one please call at the office as soon as possible.

Safety for our children

We have asked time and time again that parents use appropriate protocol for entering and leaving the building. Can all adults please stick to the rules about which doors to use and to always call at the office if in school for any reason. Parents should not be in school before 8.50am unless your children attend breakfast club and not between 9am and 3.15pm unless attending a pre-arranged event or meeting. Parents and children are not permitted in classrooms before 8.50am or to use the car park doors as an entrance.

The rules are for the safety of your child and all others in our school.
