Thank you for considering Regent Farm First School for your child: we are delighted that you might like to join our school community.

We are incredibly proud of our unique children, supportive parents, inspirational staff and forward-thinking governors. Everyone at Regent Farm enjoys working together to make our school a safe, happy and fun place to learn. We are also very proud of all our families’ interests, heritage, cultures and religions: we see diversity as an asset to teach our young people about differences, respect and empathy.

We hope that this website provides you with much of the information you will need to help you find out more about our school and inform your choices. Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent and we are more than happy to support this in any way we can.

We are always delighted to show prospective parents, and children, around the school and have a chance to show you the wonderful learning environment we can offer.

Parents who are interested in applying for a place for Reception or Nursery 2021-22 are invited to contact the school to arrange a visit.  However, due to the current Covid-19 restrictions we are delaying visits until later in the autumn term. Please contact school for details.

In-Year Admissions

In-Year admissions for Reception to Year 4 are applications to enter a year group that has already started at school.

Please call our school office on 0191 2852294 if you wish to enquire about spaces within a year group.

If you wish to make an in-year application for a Newcastle school, you must apply using Newcastle City Council’s ‘In Year Application Form’. For information go to www.newcastle.gov.uk/admissions or ask for a form from the school office.

We consider each application using our admissions policy and current waiting lists. A place is offered, if there is a vacancy, to the applicant at the top of the waiting list. If we cannot offer you a place you will be notified.

Further information about applying for a school place, admission criteria or transferring schools during an academic year can be found on the Local Authority web-page ‘School Admissions’

https://www.newcastle.gov.uk/services/schools-learning-and-childcare/apply-school-place.

Middle School Admissions

If your child is due to transfer from Regent Farm First School to another school in September 2021 (our current Year 4 children) then you must apply for a place at your preferred school/s using the Newcastle City Council weblink above.
