Welcome message from Helen Moore

Dear Parents and Carers,

It gives me great pleasure to write to you all as the new Headteacher of Regent Farm First School. I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you how excited I am to be your school’s new Headteacher.

I began my teaching career fifteen years ago and am fully committed to providing your children with the best possible education, some amazing memories and lots of fun! I am passionate that children should leave school with a love of learning, a curious mind and skills that enable them to thrive in whatever they set their mind to.

From my visits to your school, I am certain that Regent Farm is the perfect choice for me as Headteacher and I am tremendously impressed by the whole school, especially the pupils. Every time I walk down the corridor I am welcomed by a sea of smiley faces! Your children and school community are wonderful and a true credit to you all: the obvious pride they have for their school is very evident to see.
Your school has a good reputation and I am looking forward to finding out more about the school in the coming weeks so that any changes we make in this new chapter of Regent Farm’s history are supported by the whole school community.
I believe a successful school is built on relationships of trust and respect: I will always endeavour to find time to speak to you and help support your family in any way I can. Please don’t hesitate to contact me, in person, phone or email, if you have any queries or questions.

After Easter, I will be beginning my role as Headteacher of Regent being released from my current school for two days each week. This will allow me to get to know as much about the school as possible before I start fulltime on 17th June. So please feel free to pop over and say hello if you see me around! After the 17th June I plan to hold an informal event where you can all meet me in person. Over the next half term the school will continue to benefit from the additional support from Matt Ward, a Gosforth Schools Trust Headteacher, and we will be working very closely together.

I can’t wait to work with you all as we continue to provide a wonderful education for all those at Regent Farm.

Have a wonderful Easter holiday.

Kind Regards,

Helen Moore
Headteacher
